Join Nicky Moore from The Hidden Hive Creative Wellbeing Workshops for a relaxed two-hour crochet session designed for complete beginners as well as those who already know their way around a crochet hook.

If you’re new to crochet, Nicky will gently introduce you to the foundations – from holding your hook and working with yarn to mastering some simple stitches and building your confidence one stitch at a time.

Then it’s time to put your new skills into practice with a fun and achievable project: creating your very own Pink Lady Apple Cosie to take home.

Crochet is about so much more than making something. The gentle, repetitive rhythm can provide a mindful focus, giving a busy brain something simple and absorbing to concentrate on. During menopause and midlife, when life can sometimes feel particularly full, creative activities can offer a lovely opportunity to pause, be present and enjoy time that’s just for you.

And, as with so many of our BEYOND Creative Workshops, it’s also about connection.

Sit, stitch and chat alongside other women, share stories and experiences if you want to, enjoy some laughter and discover the companionship that naturally happens when we make something together.

Already crochet? You’re very welcome too. Bring your experience, enjoy some creative time and join a room full of women discovering – or rediscovering – the joy of crochet.

No previous experience is necessary. Come exactly as you are and progress at your own pace – one stitch at a time.
